Garbage and Recycling

All residential garbage, recycle, and yard waste is collected by Waste Management who is the  City of Stillwater's contracted hauler.  Their customer service number is 952-890-1100.

The mayor and Council make decisions on behalf of the Stillwater Residents.  They adopt and oversee the City's annual budget and property tax levy and are responsible for all policy decisions.

Stillwater City Council is comprised of a Mayor, who is elected at large, and four Councilmembers, who are elected by wards.  Each council member is a resident of the ward from which he is elected and serves for a term of four years.

The City Council meets the first and third Tuesday of the month (with a few exceptions) in the City Council Chambers at Stillwater City Hall.  

City Council, Heritage Preservation Commission, Parks and Recreation, Planning Commission meetings are televised live and webstreamed on the City website and preplayed on Valley Access (Channel 16/Comcast).

Agendas and Minutes for all public meetings are posted on the website.  Citizens can request automatic emails of any city meeting agendas and minutes by subscribing.
