Partners in Energy Program
In March 2023, the City of Stillwater approved being included into the Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy Program. Partners in Energy is a program that supports communities by assisting them in developing and implementing energy plans. With Stillwater being a part of Partners in Energy, the City can meet its energy goals and help residents and businesses in reducing their energy bills and carbon footprints.
Stillwater community members collaborated to create an Energy Action Plan at no additional cost to the City of Stillwater. The plan offers Stillwater residents, businesses and the City a path forward to save energy and manage costs while avoiding carbon emissions. Stillwater's plan educates and inspires residents and business to engage in energy action. With a focus on saving energy, the plan aims to save the community money, reduce emissions, and increase energy resiliency while embracing Stillwater's historic character and preserving it for future generations.
