The County Veteran Service Officer (CVSO) and Assistant County Veteran Service Officers (ACVSO) are highly trained professional advocates that share an understanding of the challenges our Veterans, their dependents and survivors face. We receive the most current training on the scope, significance and application of ever-changing federal, state and local laws. We are well versed in the rules and regulations adopted by the various organizations and implement them effectively. We apply specialized knowledge in the best way suited to meet the needs of every Veteran, dependent and survivor who visits our office.

Memorial Day Celebration

Last Monday in May
A Memorial Day salutation will be held at the Stillwater Veterans Memorial located at the Upper Riverview Parking Lot on Pine Street across from the Historic Washington County Courthouse. The event will start at 11:30 am and honor the St. Croix Valley area casualties of war with a wreath laying ceremony recognizing the fallen from each of the branches of the armed forces. The ceremony will include a guest speaker, patriotic music, and possibly a T-6 Thunder flight Team flyover. The American Legion honor guard will participate as well as local Veterans of Foreign War members will conduct a rifle salute and tribute. This free event is open to all members of the community, young and old alike.
