In 2012 U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recently released revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for all of Washington County including the City of Stillwater.

These new maps are more accurate than the current 1980’s vintage maps and include a number of changes throughout the City of Stillwater. Most of Stillwater has remained unaffected by changes as they are currently in a Zone X (or outside the 0.2 percent annual chance floodplain) and will remain in a Zone X.

If you have any questions about these changes or flood insurance, contact the Community Development Department at (651) 430-8820.
