The Friends of Stillwater Area Dog Park has opened a fenced, off-leash dog park located at 2000 Myrtle Street West. The dog park was established in 2014 to promote responsible dog ownership through community-based recreation and education. The dog park is open 8 am to Sunset.

The City of Stillwater has several outdoor skating rinks available during the winter season at the following locations: Bergmann Park, Lily Lake Park (on the lake), Northland Park, Old Athletic Field, and St. Croix Rec Center. See the Park Map for locations or click here.

The city has an outdoor skate park located on Curve Crest Blvd. behind the Stillwater Rec Center (1675 Market Dr.) for the experienced and inexperienced skateboarder. This skate park was designed to provide users with a moderate challenge for recreation purposes and to help develop their skills. The park is open from 8 am to Sunset.

The City of Stillwater has pickleball courts at Staples Park, Northland Park and at Lily Lake Park. Pickleball is similar in size to a double badminton court. The court is striped like a tennis court with no alleys and divided by service lines. You'll see the pickleball ball court is lined in a different color than the tennis court. Bring your own pickleball equipment and have some fun. A group of people have joined together to play pickleball and anyone is welcome to join in on the organized play times. The community garden is located at the corner of Martha St N and Aspen St W near Staples Field. The garden is run by a small group of volunteers who plan activities and improvements, maintenance issues, and serve as liaisons with the community. The North Hill Community Garden group designed the garden plans which include perennial food plants, native planting, a common sitting area and several different sized raised beds that can be rented for the growing season. The City of Stillwater has a Park and Recreation Commission. It consists of seven members appointed by City Council. Each member serves three year terms. The purpose of the Park and Recreation Commission is to operate a program of recreation and to manage City parks and playgrounds.
