Planning

The department serves as staff to the Planning Commission, Heritage Preservation Commission, Downtown Parking Commission and the Joint Planning Board (Stillwater Township and City of Stillwater). The planning division also shares staffing responsibilities for the City Council and the Park Commission.

Some application links will direct users to more information about the specific application, submittal requirements and processes for review.  All Planning applications can be submitted via email to PlanningDept@stillwatermn.gov

Planning applications can be submitted in person, via mail or emailed to the Planning Department.  All land use applications should send plans in electronically to PlanningDept@stillwatermn.gov.  To pay the application fee, you can submit a check payable to the City of Stillwater or pay via credit card over the phone, 651-430-8820.
